Bonjour Naostage Team,
My name is Tim Baltes. I’m a marketer, a musician, and an American who now permanently lives in Nantes, France. After learning more about your products and your team, I’d love to speak with you more about working together on your marketing projects.
My experience includes:
Nearly 10 years in corporate marketing environments, writing/editing/proofreading copy, managing a design team, and serving in multi-departmental project management roles. I’ve written marketing copy for Roland’s Juno-X and the AIRA Compact series, and I’ve ghost-written articles published in 90 million printed Uline catalogs.
Almost 15 combined years of managing music performance social media channels for both influencers and brands. I’ve produced video content with pro-level audio for companies like Vic Firth, who has reposted some of my content, and I’ve even worked with Zildjian to create videos for various marketing campaigns. I’ve collaborated with prominent influencers like RDavidR to create segments for videos like this, which have yielded 300,000 views on YouTube. And I’ve worked with educators like Dimitri Fantini on video sales letters, email campaigns, and more. Dimitri has even featured my products in this YouTube video, where he talks about my practice tracks for drummers, which have over 1,000,000 streams on Bandcamp due to an innovative marketing approach.
Over 20 years in drums, supporting local musicians with their pro sound needs while working in music retail operations. I’ve also recorded drums while working with Disney, 21st Century Fox and video game producer Zynga. Plus, I continue posting video content for nearly 50,000 followers on Instagram today.
These experiences have taught me a lot about what I want in a career, and one of those things is to help push the music and entertainment industry forward through marketing great innovative products.
While other companies are using beaconless and automated tracking systems in more industrial settings, I really like that Naostage is bringing this technology to creative environments like concert stages, interactive museum installations, and studios doing video capture. However, marketing innovative products requires innovative marketing, and that’s something I’ve done before.
Over the past seven years, I’ve released over 1,000 drumless loops, and I created a way to get this product to the world of drummers. Drumless loops (or drumless practice tracks) are music arrangements that do not include drums, so they can be used to practice drums and for a variety of other purposes. One additional use-case is that drummers can use my royalty free loops to create videos for YouTube, Instagram, or other social media platforms. So, I simply ask that people tag me in their social media posts, which means that drummers download my product, make videos, and tag me in their social media posts. That recruits new customers through organic reach, and this cycle continues, as more and more new customers keep making new video content with my drumless loops. This has yielded over 1,000,000 streams on Bandcamp and I’ve sold my product in every continent except Antarctica.
Just like Naostage, I also believe in the power of YouTube and long-form video as a foundational marketing technique. And while I am still learning French, I think that my English language marketing background provides me with the tools to help your team reach a global audience better. I’ve created YouTube videos in the past. I understand how to create an engaging script. And I understand how to create effective thumbnails, video titles, and video descriptions. In the niche world of drumming, my YouTube channel gained over 100,000 views in the first six months because of videos like this.
I can offer a new perspective on the “YouTube Game” to get more eyes on Naostage content and to find the correct viewers for your videos based on your customer profile. Your company does a great job showcasing productions that currently use the K SYSTEM, and I really like the general overview video your team has produced too. By continuing to produce new videos, exploring other recurring video series with low production costs, and by optimizing the data supporting those videos (like video descriptions, tagging, etc.), Naostage has an opportunity to best reach your target audience, to better educate them on the ease of use of this solution, and to entice potential buyers with things like additional celebrity features, use-case demonstrations, and more.
I think Naostage has only begun to reach it’s target market. And by knowing the product, I think there is a lot of room to sell more K SYSTEMs in domestic markets here in France, but also abroad in markets like the American music performance market, the museum and art exposition market for immersive experiences, and particularly in the American worship places market. With my background, I can provide your company with a unique perspective and skillset to start reaching these international markets from right here in Nantes.
